A brain aneurysm is very serious and usually leaves you dead or paralyzed on one side. If I had one I would rather die. I'm serious. I have 2 friends, males, in nursing homes in their late 40s that had brain aneurysms and cannot walk or talk. They started with bad headaches and that's scary for you. You are used to a certain kind of headache and I think you will know if it feels different and could be an aneurysm. Aneurysms cause strokes and I know you have heard of those. Be careful Kristi. You are young. I have been told by patients that Imitrex works well. If you had a migraine and the Imitrex did not work then you could head to the ER. Tell them your history and about your grandmother, and they should do a CT of the brain right away and put your mind at ease. I hope the Mg is still helping you out and I hope to never have such a migraine as you have described. It sounds like a nightmare.
