A Note from My Addicted Daughter Who Appreciates Your Thoughts and Prayers
She wanted all of you to know
It makes a big difference to my daughter when I tell her about all of you who express hope for her recovery. She wants to give up. I believe by telling her how so many people, from all over the world are pulling for her, she gains some strength. She asked if she could send a note.
I told her I would correct some of the punctuation. I’m sorry if it’s not in perfect format.
She’s still in the nursing home and still getting a Fentanyl Patch for pain that she has to be weaned off before she can go anywhere for rehab. Her pain is so bad it will be really hard. These are her words.
She sent this in a text:
My mom has told me about the articles she writes about my addiction. She says it helps to get it off her chest. She can’t talk to anyone because they judge her, and they judge me, and she can’t stand it because it’s been forever I have been this sick daughter. I know I must seem like the stupidest dumbass ever born but it’s not her fault and she always blames herself but I think she’s had enough now and finally realizes these were my choices and always over men in my life. I’ve had many chances to stay clean. She tells me you all pray for me and really seem to care and…
