An Alcohol Related Car Crash That Killed 4 Small Children and 3 Adults
The driver was considered to be a “supermom”
Four adults died in the crash as well.
Diane Schuler, of Long Island, NY, was a wonderful, devoted, and well respected mother. She worked as a cable TV executive. She was great at her job and liked by all her co-workers.
Her family considered her the most responsible and trustworthy woman they knew. So the events that transpired on July 26, 2009 were heartbreaking and shocking.
Camping Trip
Diane and Danny Schuler, along with their children Bryan, 5, and Erin, 2, and her brother’s kids: Emma Hance, 8; Alyson Hance, 7; and Katie Hance, 5, spent the weekend camping at Hunters Lake Campground in upstate New York.
When they headed home, Danny drove the camper. Diane and the kids left in a Red Ford Minivan she borrowed from her brother and sister in law, Warren and Jackie Hance. They were the parents of her 3 nieces in the car.
It was a bright sunny Sunday.
On the way home she stopped at a McDonalds to get the kids breakfast and let them play. She got herself a large orange juice.
She also stopped for gas and went in to the store to get some medication for a headache. CCTV…
