And kids will continue to be picked on and mistreated because adults can't protect them. Bullies are not going to stop if they know nothing will be done or if they have the backing of their own parents. One complaint against me and my parents would have punished me on the spot. Grounded and more.
My ex thinks our grandson is becoming a bully and he spoke to him about it. He relentlessly picks on his 8-year-old girl cousin and he is 13. We see what he does but then he lies to us about it. It could be cast-off as a "boys will be boys thing" but no way. We are both going to be on him about it and have made him apologize to her which he hates. We know he has been picked on in school. He's small for his age and has been in a few fights off school grounds. We're trying to cut it off at the pass so it doesn't escalate. He's had a rough time in life and it's a delicate situation. But, adults have to get in there and educate these kids and make sure there are consequences. I'd never want to be a teacher these days, would you?
