Is There a Prize for Not Seeing Neon Bright Red Flags in Online Dating Profiles?

I miss a lot of clues!

I had a gentleman contact me on MatchUp (made up dating site) this week.

He’s very polite and sounds interesting.

He’s a widower.

You may have read that I have lousy luck with widowers, but this guy has been widowed for three years, so I thought that might be OK.

But I am unsure if I see RED FLAGS.

I am RED FLAG impaired.

To start, he contacted me, saying our profiles matched up quite well.

I agreed.

I have been told not to waste time with messages because you don’t know if there’s a possibility until you meet face-to-face, so set that up quickly.

After doing online dating for four years, I have to agree.

I have had two men meet me at the door of a restaurant because I would never have recognized them inside from the 10-year-old pictures they posted on their profiles!

They knew this going in, so what did they expect?
