Dear Warren....a couple of things.

First, I found that a dating site, Match.com, was using me. I was off for over a year and they had never taken my profile down. So, for a year the men that had messaged me got no reply because I wasn't even there. I found this out because I got an email saying Match was going to let this one guy communicate with me for free. But, wait, I haven't been on Match for over a year so how did he even see me? I proceeded to answer his email and we set up a date right away knowing Match would cut us off quickly with the hopes of getting me to rejoin. On our date, and he was quite cool, he told me my profile had been up there for months and he had tried to contact me before. I WAS NOT EVEN A MEMBER! The ladies you wrote to may never have answered because they don't even exist on the site. Don't take it as a slight or that they are wasting your time. I was angry and emailed them about not taking my profile down when I left and found out I was still on 3 different sites because they were all owned by Match. Sites I had never even joined!

They were using my picture and profile, along with other women of course, in their ads to get men my age to sign on to their site. They can do that. It's in the fine print. It made me mad. But, I did rejoin and they had to take the 3-year-old profile down so I could put a new one up with recent pictures. I've since left Match again 6 months ago and I'm told by guys I've stayed in touch with that I am still on there 😡. Nothing I can do about it.

Secondly, when I was active, I went over 3 days without answering some guys and not because I didn't like them. It just happened when my mom was extra sick or something else deterred me. When I went back to converse with them, if they were gone, I figured they moved on. Why don't you just leave those alone for at least a week? Maybe after a week, if you don't hear back, you will know for sure they didn't get tied up with something legitimate, or perhaps they don't even exist on the site anymore, just their profile like mine was.

3 days is not enough time in case of an emergency. Like, maybe she had an emergency appendectomy or a child in the hospital. Don't miss out on the possible love of your life with your restrictions!

Does this make sense to you? I don't mean to preach but I'm a woman on the other end.
