DO NOT LAUGH! I am sitting here crying over that video of Gibson and his "miracle" home run. WTF! I never saw or knew anything about that, so it was emotional for me. Most of the article, I was lost 🤣 I'm not as up on baseball history as you are. In 1973, my senior year of high school, my boyfriend had tickets from work for the playoff games at Cincinnati. We went to see my sister at OU for the weekend, and then he wanted to drive to Cincy (so close to Athens??!!) to go to a few games. I cooperated to make him happy. I hated that stadium. But I did love Jonny Bench. My bother in law resembled him, and my boyfriend resembled Thurmon Munson. We went to a fancy dinner in Florida over spring break that year. My sister and I dressed to the nines, and the guys faked they were those players! We got great seats right away! No waiting in line. We really thought some people believed us! They were probably laughing at us behind our backs, but we were young and didn't care. I was a bit crazy back then. Does me good to relive the memory.
