For me, it's hard to get past a service dog without petting her/him and talking to her/him. One of my patients taught me to leave the dogs alone. I feel guilty.

I'm thankful a service dog can be a friend, companion, and often a protector to someone who needs all of the above.

We all need to live and let live.
