He's been alone for 30 years, with a few girlfriends in between. I think he got that way due to not sharing his life with someone to talk to. I was not a good fit for him in the long run. I didn't like to bike as much as he did, and I loved the dog, but to have her constantly with him was ridiculous and distracting.
