Hey Big Red. I just wrote this long essay apologizing to you for sounding so smug in my story when I listed my income streams and damn if it didn't just disappear! Halfway through that response, I realized I could write a whole story on my mother, who was the real catalyst for this decision I made to move. And, thanks to her, I had the money. Can you be looking out for the story? You inspired it and I want to say I'm glad, in a nice way, you pointed out where I sounded judgmental and clueless that a lot of the US took a huge hit, like you, due to COVID. But it was the part about your mom that spurred me on. My mom died from LONELINESS. She was so isolated in her room at assisted living during COVID she willed herself to die. I won't send you that long response but I am going to mention you in my article. Thanks for the wake-up call there. I wish I knew a way to help you. Can you sell or reverse mortgage your mom's house?

BTW my sister played a big part in the story too.
