Hi Graham. I admit I write what I feel like and not to an audience. That seems too robotic, and the subject I get the most reads on is depressing for the most part so I don't like to stick to that. But, if I just want to earn money, I could focus on that and have less fun. But, I'm already scraping around for some fun in my life as it is! I have my best followers, and I don't expect them to read anything I write that's not of interest to them, but I often get new readers that way and discover their profiles and content are also interesting to me. I will check out "The Gold Vein."
