My policy has always been to split the bill unless they insist on paying, which most men I go out with do. If they asked me out, not from a dating app, I let them pay. If meeting on an app I feel we are both on even ground in our desire to meet up so paying half is the most fair. I’ve never felt an obligation for a second date no matter who pays what!
