Hi Sara. I don't know. In the ER if we had noncompliant patients they were not treated as well. One female doc hated me for telling her about a mistake she made that could have killed a man. When my daughter was taken in by ambulance 3 years ago with a septic MRSA infection this doc told her it was a pulled muscle in her leg. It was actually the infection built up in her spine like now. She had the track marks on her arms and all. They are very judgemental in the ER. She was brought back 3 days later and another male doc saw her. He admitted her ASAP because her fever was so high she was almost a code That female doc was such a bitch. I was so glad when she left.
They judged my daughter as not worthy of their attention. No one in ER knew she was my daughter but the next time I worked I gave that male doc a big hug and told him why. He remembered her very well. After that admission, everyone knew about her and felt sorry for me. I hated that. They had to transfer her to the main hospital downtown to manage her case.
