Hi Shefali. This describes me to a T. I hate it when anyone calls me religious. It's insulting. I believe in God and I believe the Bible is His Word. But, it's interpreted by millions of people and certainly gets twisted, especially when a verse is taken out of context. One Bible verse is produced by an entire chapter that tells the bigger story. Many don't realize that.
I have a friend that overdoes it. He's a zealot. Everything is controlled by God. You can't have a conversation with him where he doesn't quote a verse or mention God. It's overkill and a turn-off.
I'm so glad that's not true God controls everything because He had nothing to do with the most recent school shooting in Michigan or other tragedies. We got free will from Adam and Eves's sin. We make good and bad choices as humans. Quit blaming God for all the bad stuff that happens in our world. Anyway, sorry about this tangent! I agree totally with your beliefs and I think I'll copy some of this to help me remind people that all kinds of us live here and they deserve their beliefs too. Atheism is a belief to some just as Christianity is a belief to others.
And I am amazed at your life. 2004? Remarkable. And, yes, I definitely believe in miracles, too.
