I admired my father for this and, sadly, much more after his death. As I complain about pain here or there, I think of what he endured without once complaining. Maybe he did it to my mom, but she never mentioned it. He was tough, sturdy, intelligent, and never bragged. He left school in the 6th grade, joined the Navy, and came out to become a millionaire just by using his head! He was wise in the area he needed to be. These days, it may be hard to respect a man, including your father. What my ex has done spoiled my son's respect for him, and I pray one day, he will remember the good things his dad did for him before he went off the deep end. Each generation is very different.

I write about my experiences in life. Some mundane, some sad, some funny, and hopefully none boring!
