I always gave family a bye and allowed them to treat me poorly because I had to be around them. I thought my kids needed their grandparents, aunts, and uncles. When they got older I found I was wrong. They observed more than I realized. Too late now. As adults they chose to have very little to do with my family and after awhile I let it go. I heard my sister told someone my kids don’t come around because they are jealous of hers.
