I am an RN who worked in Case Management at the end of my career. It's ridiculous what is involved in getting bills paid by insurance companies. Sometimes, we have to turn flips and somersaults to get a patient bill paid. If we send a report in one day late, they will deny the entire hospital stay! Patients have no idea about this. It's a crappy job, and I retired to eliminate it.
