I can see why you'd be offended, but I would not take it to heart. She's been a great person and friend all this time, and living Rich instills certain ways in your personality that the rest of us don't see. But, for her, its more second nature. I wrote about a friend I felt was always trying to put me down, but after getting together with her and talking where I injected a few kindly "reminders" of her past and present life, she seemed to catch on very fast and also realized what she had been doing, which was forgetting where she came from. Maybe give Beth a bye this time but see what happens next. As you say, you'll be watching now but don't second guess your love for her prior to this. You have good judgment and still do. It's not enough to lose a friend over.

BTW I drove the same Camry for 13 years and only traded it in because my daughter wanted to go to the dealership to test drive a Rav. And I ended up trading my perfectly good Camry for a new Camry. She's eight years old now (I call her Marilyn), and I hope to keep her for the rest of my life. Toyotas rock :-)

I write about my experiences in life. Some mundane, some sad, some funny, and hopefully none boring!
