I Can’t Believe My Daughter Is Alive After the Story She Just Told Me
I always feared I would have to identify her in a morgue.
“Well, mom, he just held the gun next to my head and I was so high I wasn’t even that scared.”
Wait, What?
My daughter (you can read her history down below) is unloading some horror stories on me now that she’s in rehab. She says she needs to do this.
She wants to tell me things I do not want to know.
Either she tells me or her daughter because she needs to get it out. It’s eating her up. She’s held too much inside for too long.
I chose myself over my 19-year-old granddaughter.
These are not things you normally tell your mother. You would definitely never share them with your daughter. I don’t know what else to do but listen.
I do not like it at all.
She has been beaten up, raped, arrested, robbed, and abused way more than I ever imagined. I knew life on the street was no picnic but this was what she chose. I could not have saved her from that life as much as I wanted to. She had to save herself.
I am crying as she tells me things I cannot believe happened to my child.
