I can't imagine what it's like to go to school and have safety drills for when a shooter enters the school. Kids crouching beside their desks. It's sickening and sad and we can't fix it. The boy in Michigan is such a sad story. If the school had followed the protocol his locker would have been checked. They would have found the gun. And no way should they have let the parents say no to taking their son home. I think that may have been what set him off. He must have felt so unloved and misunderstood when they wouldn't take him. Didn't they realize he was going to face ridicule and hatred when he went back to class? But 4 children are dead, and that school is in big trouble. After all these years of training and warnings, and all these shootings, they go and do that?
My granddaughter's case was blown way out of proportion, but nobody ended up dead. I hated the school for how they handled it but on the same hand I saw they were serious with the no tolerance aspect.
Thanks for reading. It's a horrible state our country is in.
