I did. I was 18. he was 20. I got pregnant right out of high school. The talk of my Catholic school. I did not want a baby or to be married. My parents dictated the terms. It is the biggest hurdle I have ever jumped in my life. I had to give up my plans for the future so my parents could have a grandchild. They preferred a boy, but in my usual screw-up fashion, I birthed a girl. My dad's first words were next year; you can have a boy. I envy your decision because my life proves you did the best thing. My poor little girl got messed up with the gang of people who took over, and me, who was still a kid. You are the hero I wanted to be.
