I do know this. I've been through therapy and many Al Anon meetings to help me stop being that enabler. This time won't be as hard. Now I'm retired and can't afford $100 extra a week for cigarettes, pop, and fast food.

I'm so sorry for your friend's children. My grandchildren would be devastated if something happened to their mom. I'm not sure what all she tells them but they are very defensive of her.
