I am just so sorry. It boggles my mind to think about it. I see what you mean about just imagining she's in California. That's a good coping mechanism for your heart.
Do you ever read anything Kristi Keller writes? She lost her son not long go and she writes about grief on Medium.
Oddly, my daughter is always respectful and nice to me. She was rebellious as a teen but that had a lot to do with the enablers. My mom and my sister.
But, I don't hear from her very often unless she's like she is now. I do know she loves me.
No one else is consistently there for her.
I get angry with her but I still help her.
What else can a mother do? I just won't give her money.
