I entertain those same thoughts when I think of the two guys with the money I had been seeing when I met my broke husband. I was thinking only of myself and not my children's futures, but I didn’t know then what I know now. However, the guys with money would have helped me encourage my kids to aim for college and live much better than they do now—at least, that’s what I believe. My ex was not like that. He didn’t care if they went to college or not as long as they all had jobs. None of those jobs would sustain them for long, though.
