I gave my husband one threat like that. We needed a bigger house. Ours was small with one bathroom and 6 people living there. We found a house that was perfect and that we could afford but he kept balking. Finally, out of shear frustration, I said I was calling Jon Doe (a divorce attorney) the next day. There was no reason we couldn't or shouldn't move. See, I felt he was controlling ME by looking at houses and not following through with one that fit our needs for an affordable price. He relented. I never felt bad about it either but I never gave him an ultimatum again. Just saying sometimes it's not the worst thing 😊
