My one-year-old great-niece got COVID thanks to me.

On October 4th, I went to the county courthouse with a group of 50 people after receiving a summons calling me for jury duty.

This appointment would narrow down the qualified participants.

Many of us would be dismissed.

I had two trips and a lot of holiday celebrations planned during the jury duty commitment from October 29, 2022, to December 29, 2022.

Three months!

I did NOT want to serve.

I checked in to the jury room, was given a number, and sat amongst a large group of other numbered people.

I started experiencing a runny nose about 15 minutes after. No one wore a mask as they were not required at the courthouse.

Immediately I put one on and had to go out into the hall several times to blow my nose.

What the heck??

I was fine before I walked into that building.
