I have been on dating sites off and on for 5 years. I've met a few but it never lasted. There are some lies I can't get past. One smoked and lied about it. Like I am so dumb I can't tell? Another had a girlfriend he saw every other weekend. Jerk. I wrote about him here. It's hard to meet a quality man. The last guy I met that I said goodbye to last night contacted me on eHarmony. He lives 3 hours away but has a plane and I live close to a regional airport so he flew here to see me. For 2 months he never touched me at all. Did not try to hold my hand or kiss me....nothing. Plus he still had his wedding ring on! His wife died last year. I told him last night that a man doe not go on a dating site and contact a woman to be her buddy. He said he does better as a couple?? And?? In other words, he "befriended" me to be a couple? Made no sense. I told him most women would not have gone out with him with his wedding ring still on. He said he just wasn't ready to take it off!! I told him he needed to grieve more and I was not enjoying the relationship. (But, damn, those plane rides were nice!)
