I have felt the same way about this movie since it was made. I have a daughter who was average weight in high school and college and gained 100lbs in grad school. It was painful to watch it with her, but she didn't want to turn it off, and I felt worse if I insisted it was in poor taste because that was like I was saying she was fat—just a bummer—great article and really creative that you wrote about this and used those clips.
