I Just Read 3 Articles That Tricked Me at the End, and Sadly I Feel Cheated

Clickbait is content that aims to attract attention and lure the reader into clicking on an article.

However, the article often does not live up to the title, leaving the reader disappointed, often angry, and wondering, WTF?

Readers don’t appreciate finding an interesting title only to see they clicked on an article under the false assumption it would deliver what the title states.

But it doesn't.

This just happened to me three times in a row.

When I finish reading an article I clicked on with a catchy title and thought it was a waste of time, it baffles me.

I wonder if I am doing this to my readers and followers.

I hope not and will make an honest effort to be more careful with my titles.

Reading an article with a misleading title is not a good feeling.

It’s 2 AM, and I finally got to sit down and read Medium, and this is what I get.
