I know what you mean.

But for a while, I just refused to get my food/drinks fixed. If they tasted terrible, that was just too bad for me. If they put cheese or some other form of dairy on my food, I just wouldn’t eat.

I know what you mean. It's hard to send food back, and you always think they might spit in or something gross to get you back for "complaining"!
