I love when someone else drives because I hate it. Often I say I’m tired and go to sleep or feign sleep so it can be quiet. I give them money for gas nowadays. With some family and friends I just say I’d like to drive quietly. But, it doesn’t sound like that would have been very nice to do to John! You were a captive audience and now you know to avoid that trap! Plus, that was not a lunch! It was an excursion. A field trip??Sounds like they were not clear on the plans!
