I missed the boat. I should have broken away 40 years ago but opted to keep my children in the "family" fold. I felt they needed grandparents, aunts, uncles, and all the great things that come from them for a full life. Little did I know they would disrespect me and tell my kids lies about me. Bravo to you, I wish I had been braver, pulled up roots, and left town.
