I really think his dad making my son play Little League scarred him for life! I'm serious. When you're not good at something you are an outcast to the cool group. It made him withdrawn and he acted out to get attention.
After all, it's voluntary so he didn't have to be there.
But he wasn't allowed to quit.
He was embarrassed hardly getting to play.
He had other talents that could have been fostered, like music.
My daughter played high school softball and wasn't that good so she switched to tennis and was really good at that and won tournaments.
