Sixty-eight residents were chosen to be potential jurors.

We all showed up at the county Justice Center today.

I received my letter while on vacation and was not too happy to come home and find I was summoned to be a county grand jury participant from 10/4 to 12/29.

Yep!

Over three months.

Merry Christmas….

They needed two grand juries of 14 people to alternate days of the week.

Two people had already volunteered to be jury forepersons. They must have had a wonderful time before and wanted to repeat the rodeo.

That cut it down to needing 26 more jurors.

We each got a number and were referred to by that the rest of the time.

I was number12.

Twenty-six were needed out of 68.

I knew my chances were pretty good of getting let go.

Two county prosecutors told us how enjoyable jury duty is and what a fun time we would have.
