I spent years in denial believing the most ridiculous excuses. One time believing my ex that my son was leaving beer bottles around his shop and drinking while working with huge table saws.

I told my ex he must get that under control and fire my son or he will cut his arm off! Or worse.

Here it was my ex that could end up with no arm and my son really didn't drink much anyway. I knew this. I was in so much denial its embarrassing to look back and berate myself.
