I think this happens more often than we realize. Our children are told things that we don’t have control of when they attend church groups. My son turned on God after he saw a lot of poor behavior by people at our church. I told him, as you did, we are not to judge. We don’t know what’s happening in those people’s lives. Then, his father became an alcoholic after we were married for 29 years. Our marriage fell apart, and I know it hurt our son very much. His father just got his fourth DUI, and things are not good. Satan managed to rip my whole family apart. I believe you did the right thing. Many non-denominational churches do not knock transgender or any other lifestyle that’s not politically correct. My church does not.
