I took a vow. My ex did, too. We kept it even though we divorced. But he recently found a girlfriend after trying to reunite with me. I was too fearful he would drink again. And he did. Once he left me last August, he lost his job, fell into a "deep state of confusion" (his words), and then got his 4th DUI. I should be glad I am not his victim. If his girlfriend hasn't lied to me (she offered up the fact that she has developed high morals, so they have not had intimacy...I DID NOT ask her), we both have never slept with anyone else for 7 years.
