I usually respond kindly because I think everyone should own their own opinion. I did put a warning at the top of one of my stories to not comment if you can't say something helpful. It was about my daughter's drug addiction and I already know everything there is to know about the pros and cons, etc. She's 47 and has been at it for countless years leaving nothing but misery in her wake. I said I had enough heartache already. It worked.
