I was so fortunate. I did not think twice about retiring. I began to hate my job and all the computer programs I was forced to learn, along with more and more work piled on me. My mom needed more company. My grandchildren loved me around. I moved 3x. I am still so busy I never once missed my job or career. Medium helped that along. I had more time to read and write. What's my purpose? Trying to stay as happy and content as possible this past year was the biggest challenge. To be fair, I only worked part-time for 40 years. I had the best of both worlds.
