I will go out on a limb here because this is what I believe. If you confess to Romans 10: 9-10, you are going to Heaven. All believers understand those verses. The way I feel it is handled by God is in this verse.

Jesus says in John 14, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1–3).

My belief is that the rooms in the mansions will be specific to the person in them. If you murdered another one of Gods people here on earth you will not get as nice of a room/mansion. You may not have the privileges of another who dedicated their life to being as much like Jesus Christ as possible (think Mother Teresa). God says "Thou shalt not kill" in commandment 5. And I think He's serious about us obeying those 10 simple things. Why else did He give them to us? So, we all go to Heaven , but killing another person is not OK . Then, as for the other commandments, similar treatment. I do not want to live next door to Jeffrey Dahmer when I go to Heaven. Of course, I will be a different being and may see things differently at that point. This is just one of my theories that all lead to the belief that no one goes to Hell or burns in Hell, but killers may not get as much glory as others. So, hurrah for Mr. Pam, and I look forward to hearing "the rest of the story."

This is just my theory and I am not a scholar of the Holy Bible.
