I wish you all the best Elle. I wanted to be happy too in 1984. We lived in a big house we built out in the country. I moved my 3 daughters to an old house in the city that needed a total remodel. The change in the school district was not wise.

They were unhappy, to say the least and each acted out in their own way. Their dad moved in with his mom.

To this day I have my regrets. Now that they are older and on their own. You can't predict the future but I didn't work too hard on my kid's adjustment and happiness. You need to do what you feel is right but the relationship with your kids is a high priority right now.

I'm just saying how it was for me. You may have a totally different situation in many ways. I hope the change works out for all of you.
