I'd welcome that kind of exit from this world, too. Inheriting from my parents helped me a lot. But, there are less expensive places here, and some people rent and get the buy-in money when a parent passes away or their kids pitch in so they can stay here. I will admit the buy-in was not that much in the big picture and for what I got. Monthly payment takes half of what I bring in with my pension and social security. But I don't have other bills except for some utilities. I wish you could live here! But that would mean leaving your daughter.
