If everyone would just follow this one thing there would be so much less maladjustment in the world. It's become so easy to blame parents for mistakes made or problems people have in life. It's over. Millions of people have worse parents, or no parents at all. Find something to love about them and remember the fun and caring things they did. There must be a few. If not, I am so sorry for you and you deserve to mourn the childhood you did not have.

Unfortunately, you still can't fix anything by blaming them now.

And love your own kids like crazy but not by spoiling them!

My brother-in-law is a counselor of young boys. He says he lets them blame their parents because that makes them feel better. But, does it? I told him he's lazy and not doing the kids any favors by letting them use a crutch like that. How much confidence can that instill in a kid if they carry that burden around forever?

"boo hoo hoo....My parents ruined me, poor me, my life sucks".

But it doesn't have to be that way.

Kristi says so!
