I'm glad she is so well-adjusted and didn't have to deal with what I did at her age. And since my three daughters don't seem to care much, I am lucky my granddaughter shows me so much love. A lot of their feelings stem from the attention their older sister received for being a drug addict. I was not as present of a mom for them as I should have been while enabling the oldest. I've apologized, but the damage was done. An addict hurts the entire family.
