Imagining mushrooms being so popular is kind of funny. I realize they are special mushrooms though.

I grew up in the country and my grandmother lived with us. She and I used to go out in the yard and pick white button-top mushrooms. She knew the ones that were not poisonous. We had fresh mushrooms a few times a week. I still love them.

When we were in Italy the kids got grossed out by seeing pizza with fungi on the menu. 😄

Can you grow them yourself at all? Buying on the black market seems chancy!
