Clique: a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them,

Either one is not what I have found on Medium.

I just started reading stuff I liked and some of it was produced by the same writers so I know them better. Your advice is perfect, Pam. That's the way to do it and you don't have to be in a clique to participate.
