It has seemed to me when CPS should be on top of things they aren't and they go after a little incident that is innocent and make it into a big deal. They did that to my daughter and it was a nightmare. My granddaughter hit my grandson in the face and my daughter took him to an ER. I would have advised against it because it was not that bad but she was worried. She didn't text me until she was there. I've worked in ER and know they can come down hard on you. She lied and said he fell and they called the police and made a huge deal out of it. I know she should not have lied but she was afraid her little girl would then need evaluated and be in trouble and it was a mess. She was just being a frustrated older sister. I suppose they figure if you lie about one thing you will lie about more stuff. And I understand that but call the police? CPS would have been enough. My daughter is such a good mother, too. I am sorry you dealt with that terrible life situation. I bet you hated leaving your great grandmas.
