It's a sad fact that addicts make the best liars. My ex wanted to reunite a few weeks after leaving, so I let him. I had no idea about the other woman then. But I could tell something was wrong. I busted him on it, and suddenly, he was ghosting me again. He knew he couldn't get away with drinking around me. I'm very perceptive to drugs and alcohol. When he was arrested and the GF told me they were engaged, I could have died. When I saw his wedding ring from me on her finger, I felt sick. That was her engagement ring, and did she accept it? I know I would not have. Secondhand ring for a second-class fiancé? Plus, she was stunned to see all the beer cans and cig butts all over his house. She said he kept that from her very well! She told everyone she was through with him for his lies but would help him as his sister in Christ. He has no friends or family? He did, but he rejected all of us even tho we backed him up with the other 3 DUIs. I know he was ashamed. Now he lives with her because he could never afford hos own place. He and Jon are the same age. It's shocking the difference between them. These are the things I need to remember if he ever tries to come back.
