It's obvious why he thought his two marriages were unhappy after the first few years. I am going to have to ease out of this. Once I back off, I can count the minutes it will take to replace me. A woman in his church would be easy because he has a charismatic presence at the pulpit. If I didn't know him, I would have fallen in love with him after the sermon he gave last week.

I also have to look inward. I have not been perfect, and I have my peculiarities, too. He never brings them up if they bother him, but I've deduced that he isn't paying attention thus does not notice.
