It's smart you have a plan. Does your family know this?
Keep that Glock well oiled and clean so its ready when you need it. And don't have a stroke. That may paralyze one of your hands. It's not easy to fire a gun without the use of 2 hands to hold it steady. Especially if you put it in your mouth. The recoils not bad on a Glock, but if you're weak or shaky from age, nerves, anger, or stress, it could be an issue. And, you say you aren't lucky so you really need to be careful.
I cared for too many failed ( attempted) firearm suicides in ICU and it's not a pretty site. They all needed nursing home care. A 55 and older community is heaven compared to a NH. Those brain-damaged folks went straight there after discharge and, hey, money didn't matter! They got to lay there for as many years as it took to die on the state's dime. My friend's brother lasted 20 years. He had dysphasia and dysphagia. When he urinated or defecated, clean-up assistance was necessary. Being castrated would be helpful for the staff. Its hard wiping liquid stool off the hair and folds of a scrotum.
The memories are making me cringe. No way is that kind of life for me. I'll take that "retirement community" any day.
Did you read the whole series? All kinds of people who live there still have jobs. Including me. It's 55 and older, not "retirement".
Save yourself the brain damage route and go for the heart if you can manage that. I'm told those are more successful.
And, for God's sake, I hope you never end up getting your balls ripped off. That's quite a drastic measure. I saw that once in ICU, too. It was a motorcycle accident though. Not on purpose. He was a sweet guy but those balls could not be replaced. Most men aren't fond of losing their balls on purpose but if you need to make that sacrifice to avoid a "retirement community" I admire your grit.
By the way, you don't usually die after a castration.
However, to choose that over a nice, warm home, with all the amenities and maintenance-free....well, that's definitely an interesting choice.
